At AgriTierra Limited (Ltd) we respect your privacy and data protection rights. This privacy notice informs you about how we look after your personal data when you visit our website or use our services. 1 The type of personal data we collect

Special Category Data
Special Category data (also known as sensitive data) includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data, criminal convictions and offences. We do not collect any special category data.
2 How we obtain personal information and why we have it

3 Our legal basis for processing your personal data.

Marketing
We aim to provide you with choices regarding certain personal data uses, especially with regard to marketing. The lawful ground for processing your personal data to send you marketing communications is either your consent or legitimate interests (to grow our business). Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, we may send you marketing communications if (i) you made a purchase or asked for information about our services or (ii) you agreed to receive marketing communications and in each case you have not opted out of receiving such communications since. Under these regulations, if you are a limited company, we may send you marketing emails without your consent. However, you can still opt out of receiving marketing emails at any time.
Third-party marketing
We do not share your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes. In future, if this changes, we will get your express opt-in consent before we share your personal data with any third party.

As we may operate our business from outside the United Kingdom, and where no other mechanism is available, we may rely on a derogation within Article 49 of the UK GDPR. We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We have procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
8 How we store your personal information
Appropriate security measures are in place to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. Access to your personal data is limited to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
Procedures are in place to deal with any suspected personal data breach and we will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
9 Retention of data
Your personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes it was collected for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or legal issue.
By law we have to keep basic information about customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they cease being customers for tax purposes.
If you are not a customer we shall retain your data for 1 year following your last engagement with us.
In some circumstances you can ask us to delete your data: see ‘Request erasure’ below for further information.
In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.
10 Your legal rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
