ARISE is a six-month, UK-funded initiative connecting leading agricultural innovation ecosystems across Latin America, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
Delivered by AgriTIERRA and partners, the programme is already in motion, bringing together 17 organisations across 7 countries , connecting research institutions, innovation hubs, start-ups and ecosystem builders to address shared agricultural and climate challenges.
Project Objectives
ARISE focuses on translating advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence and Engineering Biology, into practical and scalable solutions for farming systems under increasing climate pressure.
ARISE aims to:
Global food systems are under increasing pressure.
Climate instability, supply chain disruption, emerging pathogens, and shifting production models are reshaping how agriculture must operate. The need is no longer incremental improvement—but system-level transformation.

To respond, agriculture must adopt technologies that are:
Resilient to climate shocks
ARISE supports technologies and practices that help farms withstand unpredictable weather, extreme events, and changing climate patterns—keeping food systems productive and reliable.
Sustainable in resource use
The programme promotes solutions that optimise water, soil, and energy use, reducing environmental impact while maintaining high productivity for long-term agricultural health.
Scalable across geographies
By connecting partners across Latin America, the US, and the UK, ARISE identifies approaches that can be adapted and deployed in diverse climates and farming systems, amplifying global impact.
ARISE exists to accelerate this transition by connecting regions, capabilities, and innovation pathways.
